Det är svårt i dessa tider att överleva för butiker och designers. Den här senaste tiden känns det som om konkurser har varit lika vanligt som rea mitt i säsong. De duggar tätt med andra ord. Det som känns lite extra tråkigt är när fantastiska designers som skapar underbara kläder, långt ifrån det vardagliga måste lägga ner. Förra månaden lades danska märket Camilla Staerk ner, efter ett beslut som tydligen hennes finansier tagit. Otroligt synd tycker jag. Vad är det som händer i vår lilla konsumtionsvärld? Vad är det som beslutar om man ska finnas kvar, för tydligen hjälper det inte längre med att man har ett starkt namn, designar fantastiska kläder och får massa press?

Det är verkligen synd. Designerna till de mindre märkena och de som har en tanke bakom sin design borde vara de som ska överleva i svåra tider. Deras kläder blir ju en investering och massproduktionen borde gå sämre.
