Luxemburg weekend

(English translation at the end of the post)

I helgen var fashionholic och hälsade på sin väninna i Luxemburg och tog sig en liten titt runt på stan för att se hur och var luxemburgarna shoppar... En sak är iallafall säker och det är att aldrig har jag gjort en shopping/rundtur i en stad på så kort tid ( centrum är såååå litet..) 3 timmar inklusive en fika.. nytt rekord!!

Dock måste jag säga att trots litet centrum finns allt du behöver och för alla plånböcker. Här finns HM, Zara, Sephora (!), Louis Vuitton, Tods, Hermès, Sonia Rykiel och några bra multistores. En av de multistores som fashionholic fastnade lite extra för var en som låg på Grand Rue och hette Butterfly. Den här lilla butiken påminner mycket om Nathalie Shulterman som finns i Stockholm. Här fanns McQ, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Costume National och mycket mer små gobitar om man har en välfylld plånbok...

Shopping:
Grand Rue, Rue Philippe II, men egentligen kan man hitta små butiker runt hela centrum, det är så få gator att man snabbt kan gå runt hela centrumet på någon timme!

Tours och muséeum
Nedanför centrum finns det en stor park i en ravin. Om man promenerar i den österut kommer man till Grund. Hur sött som helst! Om man är lite konstintresserad kan jag också rekommendera deras Museum of Modern Art - Grand-Duc Jean (MUDAM).

Språk
Det här landet är underbart. Här kan du oavsett vilka språkkunskaper du har göra dig förstådd. Här talar man både franska, tyska, en del engelska och luxemburgska om man nu känner sig säker på det.

Fashionholic spent the weekend in Luxemburg where one of her friends have moved. I took a look around town to see what and where the Luxemburgers shop... One thing is for sure and that is that you can easily do the city in just a couple of hours including a coffee break!

But I have to say that even though the city is so small there is still some great shopping to be made. You can find H&M, Zara, Sonya Rykiel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Tods, Sephora and some mulistores. Fashionholic's favorite was a store called Butterfly on Grand Rue. Great store with great brands such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Mui Mui, McQ, Costume National and much more..

Shopping
Since the center is so small you can easily find shops all over, but the main shopping streets are Grand Rue and Rue Philippe II.

Tours and museums
Take a stroll down in the park below the city and head east all the way to Grund. A great walk and very beautiful. Also, don't miss out on the Museum of modern art Grand-Duc Jean (MUDAM).

Language
This country is great. No matter what your language skills are you can make yourself understood. French, German, some English, and "Luxmenburgish" - if you know that one..hmm impressive..
